Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Mission was launched on June 25, 2015, with the aim of providing housing for all urban residents by 2024. To meet the verified housing demand, estimated at 1.12 crore units, the Mission offers Central Assistance to implementing agencies through States/Union Territories (UTs) and Central Nodal Agencies (CNAs). This assistance is intended to provide housing to all eligible families and beneficiaries. According to PMAY(U) guidelines, a house for an Economically Weaker Section (EWS) can have a carpet area of up to 30 square meters. However, States and Union Territories (UTs) have the option to increase this limit with approval from the Ministry.
Application Process :
- Navigate to the official PMAY government website.
- Under the ‘Menu’ tab, select ‘Citizen Assessment’.
- Enter your Aadhaar number.
- After successful Aadhaar submission, you’ll be directed to the application page.
- Fill in all required information, including personal details, income, bank account information, and other necessary data.
- Double-check all entered information before submitting.
- After clicking ‘save’, you’ll receive a unique application number.
- Download the completed application form. Submit the form, along with all required documents, at your nearest CSC office or a financial institution that offers PMAY services.
- If you find the online process difficult, you can apply offline by visiting an authorized bank branch.
How to Check Name in PMAY List
- Visit the official website of PMAY pmayg.nic.in/
- Select “ Search by Name” option from the “ Search Beneficiary” Drop-down Menu .
- Enter first 3 letters of your name and click on “ Show ” button
- Soon the results will appear on the screen. Check the list to find your name and other information.
