Dental treatment is always free in this hospital

Many people have misconceptions about dental problems and treatments. Due to these misconceptions, when facing dental or oral issues, many people prioritize home remedies or sometimes seek help from quack doctors, which can be dangerous for humans. In this scenario, it’s essential to raise awareness about the risks of treatment from quack doctors, and it’s the responsibility of the health department to create this awareness. As a result, the health department is launching a Dental Health Program to care for teeth. Under this program, the dental department of the health department will raise awareness about dental problems among people visiting the hospital and provide treatment. Additionally, dental dentures will be fitted for more than 150 people. District Dental Health Officer Dr. Naresh Sigla stated that the purpose of this program is to educate patients seeking treatment about dental facts and to dispel misconceptions.

The District Health Department is organizing a Dental Health Program for dental care. To raise awareness among school children about dental health care and prevention of diseases, activities such as seminars, speech competitions, painting competitions, etc., will be conducted.

Dr. Naresh Sigla informed that dental check-up camps will be organized in all sub-divisional hospitals, CHCs, and PHCs of the district. During the camps, teams of doctors will provide free treatment to people in government hospitals and health centers, as well as conduct awareness programs in schools. In these programs, school students will be informed about oral hygiene and given detailed information about which types of food can damage teeth. Dr. Sigla stated that dental sets will be provided free of charge to needy and economically weak individuals. For this, patients with blue cards or Ayushman card holders are also included. Dental filling, tooth extraction, and any other type of treatment will be provided free of charge in all these hospitals. Dr. Sigla said that as many people as possible can take advantage of this facility. They can visit their nearest government hospital or center for treatment.
