Under this scheme, farmers in Bundelkhand will be given 1300 units of free electricity for irrigation, while farmers in other regions will receive 1045 units of free electricity per month. Just a few days ago, Yogi Adityanath issued an order for the free electricity scheme for farmers during a cabinet meeting.
Under the free electricity scheme, farmers can now not only get electricity connections for tube wells but also install meters, complete KYC, and use one LED light and a fan. Eligibility Criteria
- The benefit of the free electricity scheme will be given only to the permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh.
- The applicant will have to pay any outstanding old electricity bills.
- Farmers will need a meter or electricity connection to avail the benefits of the free electricity scheme in Uttar Pradesh.
- Farmers will have to complete their KYC, which includes providing information about their electricity connection.
