PM Vishwakarma Yojana was launched by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on 1 February 2023. The government will provide various types of training and coaching to the eligible beneficiaries under this scheme. An amount of ₹ 500 will be provided daily to the beneficiary during the period of training. Apart from this, an amount of ₹ 15000 will be deposited in the bank account of the beneficiary by the government to purchase various types of equipment and toolkits.
Beneficiaries of all castes of Vishwakarma community covered under Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana will be given free training. Also, such persons who want to start their own business and are eligible for the scheme will be given a loan of ₹ 300000 at only 5% interest by the government. Amount will be provided. This sanctioned amount will be transferred to the beneficiary’s bank account in two phases. In the first phase a loan of ₹100000 will be given and after this in the second phase a loan of ₹200000 will be given.
PM Vishwakarma Yojana : Empowering Traditional Artisans and Craftspeople
Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana is a social welfare scheme launched by the central government for artisans from 18 trades. The scheme has so far transformed the lives of many local artisans by upgrading their skills and providing them financial support to purchase new tools for their work.

Benefits of PM Vishwakarma Yojana
- Self-employed artisans and craftsmen working with hands and tools in the unorganized sector can get financial assistance of up to ₹ 15,000 from PM Vishwakarma Yojana.
- Free toolkit will be available only to one member of the family.
- Only blacksmiths, boat makers, goldsmiths, washermen, garland makers, locksmiths, fishermen, cobblers, carpenters, potters and other hand workers will get the benefit of this scheme.
- This scheme will not only provide new employment opportunities but will also make artists and artisans self-reliant in their field.
- The government has made a budget sanction of Rs 13000 crore for this scheme.
- Under the scheme, only craftsmen and artisans will be provided certificates and ID cards which will give them a new identity.
Objectives of PM Vishwakarma Yojana
Many castes are deprived of various types of economic benefit schemes run by the government. Also, they do not get proper training even in the working field. The main objective of Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana is to provide proper training in the working field to all the castes of Vishwakarma community. Also, they have to be provided loans at very low interest rates to start their own employment.
Because of this scheme, the government provides financial assistance to all those castes who do not have money for training but are skilled artisans. This scheme is very important especially for the craftsmen of Vishwakarma community. By getting financial help under this scheme, people of Vishwakarma community can develop themselves economically and socially and contribute to the progress of the country.

- After going to the homepage of the website, you have to click on login. You have to click on the option of Applicant/Beneficiary Login.
- After this enter the mobile number and captcha code.
- After this you have to click on login. Then the application form will open in front of you.
- After this, all the details asked in the application form have to be filled.
- You need to attach and upload all your required documents.
- Then you have to click on the submit button.
- In this way your application process will be completed.
