PM YASASVI Scholarship Scheme 2024 : Eligibility Requirements and Application Process

The Indian government offers various scholarship programs to support students in their education and alleviate financial burdens. One such initiative is the PM YASASVI Yojana. PM Yashasvi Scholarship Scheme 2024

The Government of India has introduced the PM YASASVI Scholarship Program to promote a vibrant India. Students from Other Backward Classes (OBC), Nomadic communities, and other semi-nomadic tribes are encouraged to apply for this scholarship. The program aims to support students in 9th and 11th grades. To be eligible, students must pass an entrance test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Successful candidates will receive scholarship funds, which can be used for their education or to purchase study materials. The PM YASASVI Scholarship is exclusively available to Indian students.

Objective of PM Yashasvi Scholarship Scheme :

The Indian government has recognized that some academically talented students face challenges in continuing their education or attending quality schools and colleges due to financial constraints. To address this issue, the Yashasvi Scholarship has been introduced. Under this program, meritorious students who might otherwise struggle to pursue their education will receive support. The government will provide these students with an annual stipend, enabling them to continue their studies at reputable educational institutions without financial burden.

Benefits of PM Yashasvi Scholarship Scheme :

  • The Government of India offers financial assistance of Rs. 75,000 for students in 9th and 10th grades under the Yashasvi Scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria :

  • Students must meet the specified eligibility criteria to apply for the Yashasvi Scholarship.
  • Only Indian residents are eligible to apply for the Yashasvi Scholarship.
  • The scholarship is open to students from OBC, NT, EBC, DNT, SNT, and SAR caste categories.
  • Applicants must have completed at least 8th grade to be eligible.
  • Students whose parents’ annual income is below Rs. 2.5 lakh are eligible for the Yashasvi Scholarship.
  • For 9th grade applicants, the date of birth should fall between April 1, 2007, and March 31, 2011.
  • For 11th grade applicants, the date of birth should fall between April 1, 2005, and March 31, 2009.

Documents Required :

  • Students must provide their 8th grade or 10th grade Detailed Marks Certificate (DMC) when applying for the PM YASASVI Scholarship.
  • A family income certificate must be submitted as part of the PM YASASVI Scholarship application.
  • The student’s identity card is required for the PM YASASVI Scholarship application.
  • Applicants must have a valid email address and phone number.
  • A caste certificate (such as OBC, EBC, DNT, etc.) is mandatory for the PM YASASVI Scholarship application.

How to Apply Online :

  • Applications for the Yashasvi Scholarship must be submitted through the NTA portal.
  • Click on the “Candidate Registration” option to begin.
  • Enter the required information in the Yashasvi Scholarship registration form.
  • Make sure to save your login credentials for the Yashasvi Scholarship.
  • Use these credentials to log into your account and complete the Yashasvi Scholarship application form.
  • In the form, select your state, district, city, and school name, then fill in other required information.
  • Submit the completed Yashasvi Scholarship form along with all necessary documents.
